Return Policy
All of us at MG Building Materials appreciate your business and hope that you are satisfied with your purchase. When you have an item to return or exchange simply bring in your original receipt, along with the item. If you have questions about our policy, please talk to one of our team members or ask for a Store Manager. Please see below for more information on our return policy.
Refund & Exchange Guidelines
Returns or exchanges must be made within 30 days of purchase date.
An original receipt with a valid transaction number and barcode is required for all refunds and exchanges of products purchased at any MG Building Materials location.
Refunds and exchanges will be tracked against the original purchase information.
Merchandise that is returned or exchanged must be in original unopened, undamaged package in resalable condition.
MG Building Materials reserves the right to refuse a refund on any product and/or charge a 25% minimum restocking fee at the manager’s discretion.
No refunds on any material that has been cut or modified in any way. (ex. wire, chain, rope, vinyl, electrical wire, mesh, doors, windows, lumber, counter tops, custom paint, etc).
No refunds or exchanges on special order items.
Special order items must be picked up within 30 days of arrival or may be subject to storage charges or forfeit.
Some products require special handling if defective and are not eligible for an over-the-counter refund or exchange.
MG Building Materials is not responsible for any labor reimbursement for the application of a defective product; however, the product may still be eligible for a refund or exchange.
Broken, damaged, or concealed damaged merchandise must be returned within 24 hours of purchase date.
Refunds or Exchanges with an Original Receipt
We will refund cash for cash purchases.
We will refund cash or credit your debit card for debit card purchases.
We will return your check to you, for a check purchase made on the same day. If the refund is requested after the day of original sale, we will refund cash for a check purchase after a 10-working day waiting period, and only if there are no outstanding checks with us.
We will refund credit card purchases back onto the original credit card (card must be presented at time of refund request).
We will refund a gift card for gift card purchases.
We will refund MG Building Materials charge accounts back to the same charge account used for the purchase.
Large purchase amounts (greater than $500.00) may need to be returned by our accounting team, by mail.
