Product Overview
HPL (high-pressure laminate) combines decorative papers saturated in melamine resin with phenolic-impregnated kraft layers at pressures exceeding 1000 psi (6.9 MPa) and temperatures approaching 300˚F (150˚C). After trimming and sanding the backs for better bonding, the laminate's thickness is determined by the number of kraft layers employed. This laminating process perfectly blends the durability of melamine resins with the aesthetic appeal of decorative papers, resulting in a time-tested surfacing material that has remained the industry standard for many years.
